About Next30Days
Why Next30Days?
We believe people care about their community but don't know where to start. Agendas are dense, schedules shift, and nobody has time to monitor five different city websites. The problem isn't apathy — it's disconnection. Caring is not enough when showing up feels impossible.
What we do
Next30Days surfaces upcoming civic meetings in your city, translates the jargon into plain language, and helps you find one doable civic action you can take part in within the next 30 days. We handle the monitoring so you can focus on showing up.
How it works
- See upcoming meetings with clear summaries of what is being decided.
- Commit to attend with one tap.
- Get reminded the morning of the event.
- Show up and participate.
- Read the notes after the meeting.
- See neighbors who also committed.
Who built this
Next30Days is a solo side project by a laid-off product manager in Seattle who had too much time. It started as a question: what if showing up to local government meetings was as easy as RSVPing to a dinner — or doomscrolling social media? Seattle and Bellevue are the first cities. More may follow if the idea works here.
Our values
- Non-partisan, pro-democracy. We describe what is happening, not who is right.
- Privacy-first. Your data is never sold.
- Local-focused. Connecting neighbors and communities, starting in Seattle.
- One doable action per month, not an infinite doomscroll. Quality over volume.
